July 12, 2026

The 67th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO 2026) is just around the corner, with all preparations progressing smoothly. Young math talents from around the world are arriving in Shanghai. From 13 to 21 July, they will gather at Shanghai High School for one of the world's most prestigious mathematics competitions.

To ensure a safe and successful event, the organizing committee has conducted a series of targeted training programmes for staff and volunteers. Volunteer guides have completed multiple rounds of training covering international protocol, competition procedures and emergency response, and have now established one-to-one liaison arrangements with all participating delegations. Meanwhile, international affairs training for all Shanghai High School faculty and staff has continued in preparation for welcoming guests from around the world.

Across the campus, preparation teams have carried out inspections of every key venue. Examination rooms, residential facilities, dining areas, activity spaces and transportation hubs have all undergone rounds of review. Event routes, participant guidelines and service procedures have been continuously refined to ensure smooth operations and compliance with international event standards.
